About Joslet - English
Joslet Bastien is a 27 year old man living in Velo, Haiti.
He has been in an accident that has bound him permanently to a wheelchair. His dream was to become a football player.
Since the accident he has helped the children in his village and trained
them with his knowledge of football to become football players and team players.
His goal is it to walk again and to support himself and his team

zu sitzen. Sein Traum war es Fußballspieler zu werden. Seit mehreren Jahren hilft er den Kindern in seinem
Dorf und trainiert sie mit all seinem Wissen über Fußball und Teamgeist.
Sein Traum ist es, wieder laufen zu können und sich und sein Team besser unterstützen zu können.

the Story - English
We wanted to share a story of a man who believed in himself.
With the short film we would like to present to you Joslet Bastien story and get medical assistant for him.
When heard of a young man who is a full heartedly a football coach who can't walk.
Football is all about the feet, About moving around and about team play. We where so inspired by the man who did not seem to be scared by any of this odds against him and who is following this dreams.

Wir möchten Ihnen die Geschichte eines Mannes erzählen, der an sich glaubt. Mit diesem Film präsentieren wir die Geschichte von Joslet Bastien und suchen nach medizinischer Unterstützung für ihn und sein Team. Die Idee für diese Geschichte kam uns, als wir von einem jungen Mann hörten, der trotz seiner körperlichen Einschränkungen mit ganzem Herzen als Fußballtrainer arbeitet.
Seine Leidenschaft für Bewegung und Teamplay inspirierte uns zutiefst. Obwohl Joslet aufgrund seiner körperlichen Behinderung nicht laufen kann, lässt er sich nicht entmutigen und verfolgt weiterhin seine Träume.
How the Project came to life - English
Some years ago the Dominican director and screenwriter Josias Dominguez came across Joslet, when he was visiting the street
"La internactional" with his family. He never forgot the inspiring young man in the wheelchair he met on this trip.
Recently the Photographer and Filmmaker Francesca Willbrand and him decided to tell his story and are currently on a mission to make an impact for him and his community.
Über die Entstehung des Projekt - Deutsch
Vor einigen Jahren stieß der dominikanische Regisseur und Drehbuchautor Josias Dominguez auf Joslet Bastien, während er mit seiner Familie die Straße “La Internacional” im Grenzgebiet zwischen der Dominikanischen Republik und Haiti bereiste. Er vergaß nie den inspirierenden jungen Mann im Rollstuhl und seinem persönlichen Schicksal.
Einige Jahre später beschlossen die Fotografin und Filmemacherin Francesca Willbrand und Josias Dominguez, seine Geschichte filmisch zu erzählen. Gerade sind die beiden dabei etwas für ihn und seine Gemeinschaft zu bewirken.

2023 fundarsing - English
We are currently fundraising for the children of Velo, Haiti, to provide them with the opportunity to play football safely and walk comfortably with proper shoes. Our aim is to support Joslet's efforts in empowering the children in his community and helping them achieve their dreams. To accomplish this, we have partnered with be.cause and their award-winning product, The Shoe That Grows, which expands up to 5 sizes!
Our goal is to raise funds for 30 pairs of shoes: 15 pairs for the boys and 15 pairs for the girls in the village of Velo, Haiti.

Derzeit sammeln wir Spenden für die Kinder von Velo, Haiti, damit sie sicher Fußball spielen können und sich im Alttag sicher fortbewegen können. Indem wir die notwendigen Ressourcen bereitstellen, hoffen wir, Joslets Bemühungen zur Stärkung der Kinder in seiner Gemeinschaft weiter zu unterstützen und ihnen zu helfen, ihre Träume zu verwirklichen. Hierfür haben wir uns mit be.cause zusammengetan. The Shoe That Grows ist ein preisgekrönter Schuh, der sich um 5 Größen vergrößert!
